  8. This version of Makin' Waves is for evaluation purposes only.  When you 
  9. register your copy, I will send you a fully functional version (which also 
  10. will support drag and drop playing from the file manager).  To order, fill 
  11. out the ORDERFRM.WRI form and mail it with a check or money order in the 
  12. amount of $10.00 ($13.00 for orders outside the continental U.S.) to

  21. General:
  22. Makin' Waves is a sound file converter / WAV file player.  It uses the 
  23. WAVEIT.EXE utility to do the ultimate format conversion (Which must be 
  24. either somewhere in your path or in the Makin' Waves directory).

  26. Makin' Waves Features:
  27. l Double-click any .VOC, .SOU, .SND file for conversion to .WAV format.
  28. l Double-click any .WAV file to play the sound file.
  29. l A convenient Delete button with optional delete confirmation (confirmation 
  30. new in this version).
  31. l Drag-and-drop playing and conversion from the file manager (Registered 
  32. version only!)

  34. With this new version:
  35. I fixed a couple of minor bugs, and did some general cleaning of the code.  
  36. I also added the delete confirmation option, I was a little annoyed when 
  37. deleting by the confirmation question popping up every single time!

  39. For those of you who have registered already:
  40. To receive the latest registered copy of Makin' Waves, please send me a 
  41. disk. I'll put the program on it and send it back to you.  (For only $10, 
  42. I can't afford to keep sending out disks in the mail!)  Thanks for 
  43. understanding.

  45. Installation:
  46. After expanding the programs, copy the WAVEIT.EXE file to a directory 
  47. somewhere in your path.  Then copy the MAKEWAVE.EXE  executable file to a 
  48. directory of your choice.  This program was written with Microsoft's Visual 
  49. Basic and requires the VBRUN100.DLL file be located in your WINDOWS 
  50. directory.  If you don't have this file, you can download it from the 
  51. MSBASIC forum on Compuserve or from one of the many fine Bulletin Board 
  52. systems available.
